Product review: 'Yes to grapefruit' facial wipes

Being a lover of the more natural products i just had to pick these up when i saw them on offer in Waitrose, i do love a good offer! They claim to be 98% natural with no parabens, SLS and cruelty free. I have been using these as a quick initial cleanse to remove the majority of my makeup before using an actual cleanser and they certainly do the job, i also love using these just to freshen up when not wearing makeup during the day or as i wake up. I absolutely love the fresh grapefruit scent which really helps to wake your skin up in the morning, the slightly tougher wipe aims to exfoliate your skin which really does help to make my skin feel 10x softer. Although, be ware not to exfoliate too harshly as you'll end up looking the colour of the packet!

So, these wipes are more on the slightly pricey side at £3.99 but i would honestly say they are worth that much money because at the end of the day you definitely get what you pay for, which is no nasty chemicals! (you will thank yourself when you're older) Having said that they seem to be on offer quite often in different shops as i picked these up for around £2.00 so make sure to shop around!

What's your favourite natural skin care products?

Fitness Routine and outfit!

Fitness Routine and Outfit

I will admit that i'm not the best person to stick at a workout routine or regularly going to the gym but.. no one's perfect! I find that it's best to work out or go to the gym as soon as you wake up because that way it's over and done with quickly! (like pulling out your tooth as a child) If i leave it and think 'maybe i'll go tonight' deep down in my mind i know that i won't go and i will become "too busy" or "tired" and end up putting it off until the next day only for the same thing to happen all over again! So, get up and go and then you will feel good for the rest of the day, i promise. I thought i'd share with you some of the exercises i do at the gym, which wasn't shot in a gym because that's just way too embarrassing! So i dragged my (surprisingly willing) boyfriend along to a location near my house which is perfect to workout without being seen by more than an elderly man that probably can't even see me or a few dogs! I have also included an outfit which i would wear to the gym which i recently brought in Dubai and am IN LOVE with from the adidas Rita Ora collection and will leave links to at the end :) enjoy!
p.s i am not an expert so i apologise if any of my postures are wrong, i am just showing you what i personally enjoy and what works for me :)

What i'm wearing
headphones - frends

FUN FACT - my boyfriend ripped his jeans whilst kneeling down to take a picture and it still makes me laugh (sorry) haha!

Gluten free lemon drizzle cake recipe

Gluten free lemon and poppy seed cake

If you don't already know, i'm coeliac which means that i cannot consume any wheat or gluten which explains why this is a gluten free recipe! To me it tastes just as good but if you are not avoiding gluten and choose to eat normal flour then all you will need to do is swap the flour in the recipe, everything else stays the same.

what you will need:
125g/5oz gluten free self raising flour blend
100g/4oz butter
125g/5oz caster sugar
2 eggs
3 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp grated lemon rind
1tbsp poppy seeds
1tbsp icing sugar

How to:

1. Place flour, softened butter, sugar, eggs, lemon juice, rind and poppy seeds into a bowl and beat really well (either using a mixer such as a kitchen aid or your own arm strength with a spoon)

2. When your mixture is ready and has been mixed well enough it should look something like this.

3. Pour into an oiled and greaseproof lined 500g/1lb baking tin.

4. Bake in a preheated oven for 45 minutes.
5. turn out onto a wire rack to cool.
6. When cold dust with icing sugar, lemon rind and also any lemon juice or icing that you may want to add.
7. Serve and enjoy! :)

Courgetti healthy recipe

Courgetti | Recipe

Nope, that's not a spelling mistake! i have found a new love and i thought i'd share it with you. Not only is it really healthy but it tastes SO good, i even managed to get my boyfriend to eat (and enjoy it) which is a huge step for someone who won't normal touch a vegetable let alone eat one! Courgettes are very cheap i think you can grab about 4 for £1.50 in Tesco
which is a bargain so this is also a very affordable meal for anyone who finds it difficult to eat healthily on a budget. There is a tonne of different ways in which you can incorporate courgetti into your meals but this is just one way that i made up and really love. It's a good way to cut any pasta cravings if you're trying to avoid any sort of carb or if you're like me and are allergic to wheat and gluten and want to try different ways rather than just gluten free or alternative pasta, this is because when the courgette is cooked it goes softer than normal and doesn't really taste of vegetable especially with a sauce so you almost feel like you actually are eating spaghetti. Now, here's the important stuff!

to cater for 2 people
2 courgettes
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
2 chicken breasts (which you can substitute for any other vegetable if you're vegetarian/vegan etc..)
1 carrot
mozzarella (optional)
juice of half a lemon
coconut oil
Basil
Chilli flakes
Garlic
salt and pepper to taste

A spiralizer

1. Put a wok/pan onto a medium to low heat and heat up a tablespoon of coconut oil.
2. Cut up 2 chicken breasts into bitesize pieces and cook until they start to turn golden brown and add the spices that you want.
3. Whilst your chicken is cooking then start to spiralize a whole courgette and 1 carrot.
4. When your chicken is cooked then add your tinned chopped tomatoes, lemon juice and your spiralized veggies.
5. cook until your vegetables have turned soft and turn off the heat.
6. Empty the contents of your wok/pan into a large serving bowl and add your mozzarella in random places on top of your dish.
7. Grill on a low heat until mozzarella is all melted.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
