As it's 1st December i decided to kick it off with showing you how to make these delicious Candy Cane Lollies!
I will link the video at the end of this post for anyone that wants to watch it :)
What You Need :
Candy Canes Milky Bar Chocolate Sprinkles Lolly Sticks Ribbon Tin Foil Baking Tray
Method :
1. Break up your chosen chocolate bar into small squares in a bowl.
2. Melt The chocolate in the microwave for 1 minute (stir after 30 seconds to avoid burning) or over a saucepan of hot water.
3. Put the melted chocolate aside to cool and line your baking tray with tin foil.
4. Grab your candy canes and unwrap them putting them face to face on the tray in a heart shape making sure the top edges are tightly together.
5. Once you have done as many heart shapes on your tray as possible you want to lay a lolly pop stick underneath poking half way through the heart shape.
6. Pour the cooled melted chocolate into the centres of the hearts without over filling.
7. Sprinkle your chosen toppings into the chocolate.
8. Leave carefully in the fridge for up to 1 hour to set and go hard.
9. Once your Candy Cane Lollies have gone hard you can now wrap/decorate them as you wish and enjoy! (mind your teeth :P)

It is exactly four weeks until christmas and i couldn't be more excited! Around this time of year my makeup loves start to change slightly and i have to rake out all my favourite festive colours, such as darker lip glosses. These are four of my favourites that i want to share with you, i have watched the colour down below each lip gloss so that you can see the true colour.
Bourjous Effet 3D Lipgloss in 06 - This lip gloss is perfect if you want a super shiny, glossy elixir effect, it can be slightly sticky but that's the norm with most lip glosses! its a beautiful bright true red colour it's quite pigmented but still quite sheer so you can build upon it depending on how dark you want the colour.
Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Big Bang - This lipgloss is probably my favourite as it is soo pigmented i love it! Its a lovely consistency and apply so easily. I'd recommend using a lip liner before applying the gloss as if you do go over your lip line it looks obvious as it is so pigmented so take your time when applying. It only needs one application for it to be pigmented enough it's a very bright true red colour, not too sticky and it also smells amazing!
Stila Magnificent Metals Lip Gloss in Garnet - This is my newest lip gloss and i really love it, it's a lot less pigmented than the others but what drew me into buying this one was the amount of golden shimmers in it! I just instantly thought of christmas, the packaging of this product is also beautiful with the gold detailing and it looks amazing over a nude lip, adding a touch of shimmer perfect for a christmas party!
Nars Lip Gloss in Risky Business - This is also a newish purchase and the same with the Stila one it is one of the lesser pigmented ones out of the four i've chosen, it also has shimmers in it but a lot less than Garnet and it is much more of a nude colour rather than dark pinky red. It apply super easily with a lovely consistency and again i really love wearing this over a dark nude lipstick.
Hello lovelies! So if like me you are coeliac, gluten intolerant or just on a gluten free diet then you might be interested in seeing what food i buy and some of my favourite things when doing a food shop! Click on the video above to check out what i got! x
As it is now the dreaded wintery time of year (I don't like the cold.. ) i thought i would update my skin care routine. When the weather and temperature changes and drops, so does our body! Our skin and hair become dry and dull looking and i've found some ways and products to help battle this and not let the cold get to your precious locks and skin!
This is my head to toe winter survival skin care routine starting from the top..
Hair Care
I found this hair product in my local TkMaxx a couple of months ago and have been using it ever since, i have noticed a big difference in the shine and general feel of my hair. It was under £20 which you may still think is expensive but i personally am willing to pay to keep my hair looking healthy and what drew me into this product is the fact that it is packed full of tonnes of good, rich essential oils and proteins for your hair! It states to be an "Alll in One Hair Treatment" and to guarantee 10 benefits, which after having tested and tried it i believe it really does. I recommend this product to anyone struggling with dry, brittle, fuzzy, dull looking hair.
Facial Skin Care
My skin care routine for my face has never really changed a massive amount as you all know i am a huge fan of Neal's Yard Remedies products and have found that for any issue your having for your skin Neal's Yard have a solution! My newest purchase has been the simple micellar cleansing wipes, after using and loving the cleansing water i saw these and just had to try them and i love these too already, they're great for on the go if you don't have time to do a complete cleansing routine then these will do the job for a one off or as i use them to take the initial amount of makeup off before properly cleansing. After this i will then go in with my Rejuvinating Frankincense refining cleanser and a muslin cloth, then to my Palmarosa toner and daily moisture! All of these products i've found work amazingly in making your skin so super soft, hydrated and clean feeling!
Body Skin Care
Onto my body skin care routine, I absolutely love taking baths during the colder months as obviously they are a lot warmer than showers! One thing that i hate though is having a bath that has nothing in it such as a bath bomb, bath salts or my favourite thing bubbles.. Neal's Yard sell and amazing "Aromatic Foaming Bath" which is now my all time favourite bath product, not only does it create amazing bubbles the blend of essential oils smell absolutely amazing especially after a long stressful or tense day there's nothing better! The oils always balance my mood and help to uplift and relax me.
If my skin is feeling extra dry any day usually around bed time i will use my Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter, this body butter is one of their originals so it has the original scent and is super thick and creamy which immediately helps to hydrate your skin, the reason i only use this before bed and not during the day is because as it is a body butter it is rather thick and doesn't soak into your skin very quickly so i don't want to be during the day pulling skinny jeans onto sticky legs, eugh!
But my favourite go to moisturiser which i use morning and night is definitely my Vita CoCo Coconut oil, not only is it 100% raw cold pressed organic oil it is the most amazing moisturiser and everything else (but i won't get into that now)
Foot Skin Care
Lastly the skin care routine i have for my feet, not a subject that is brought up often but i think it is important to care and look after every part of your body and during the winter as your colder your skin may be slightly dryer and one thing i absolutely love to do is to cover my feet in Johnsons baby Oil and then cover them in thick fluffy socks, in the morning you will wake up to super soft feet, perfect to do before a night out or event!
So that is all for my head to toe winter edition skin care routine i have linked a video for anyone who may want to watch me talk through my skin care routine over on my YouTube Channel!
what're your favourite tips for keeping your skin hydrated during the winter?
It's finally the weekend woo! Yesterday i was in my local town centre and came across these Millie Mackintosh lashes that i've wanted to try ever since she launched them and to make things even better they were £3.99 instead of around £8, bargain! So i grabbed two different styles to try out, i went for the "Belgravia" and "Portobello" ones. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous and the lashes come with free glue which is actually very good glue minus that horrible smell that some of the glues sometimes have.
The Portobello lashes stood out to be the most as there is gaps in between the lashes and the band is very thing so they give a much more natural look and are beautiful on, i didn't need to trim them and i can't even feel them on my lashes which is amazing as normally i will avoid wearing lashes because they irritate my eyes so these are definitely my favourite!
The second pair are just as lovely, the "Belgravia" lashes are also very natural looking with a very thin band which makes application so much easier! They aren't black but instead a really natural looking brown/dark blonde colour so you could get away with wearing these during the day without eyeliner for a much more fuller but natural look!
I love these lashes and definitely want to try some different styles out, has anyone else tried and loved these? what is your favourite lash brand?
